The Beelen Eye is the tallest Ferris wheel in Rotterdam. It stands at ZUIDYARD, on the Maashaven in the south of the city. From the enclosed panoramic cabins, 57 metres above the Maas, you look out all around: city, port and water in one view.
As the gondola rises, the city opens up. By day the view is clear and far-reaching; in the evening the city is full of light.
What can you see from this Rotterdam viewpoint?
Because the Beelen Eye stands on the south bank, you look across the water to the other side of the Maas. Among the sights:
- The Erasmus Bridge, Rotterdam’s best-known bridge.
- The Euromast, 185 metres tall, on the other side of the Maas.
- The city centre with its towers and the Markthal.
- Directly below the wheel, the Maashaven with its port cranes, quays and the metro bridge.
