Ferris wheel Rotterdam: views over the city and the Maas

The Beelen Eye is the tallest Ferris wheel in Rotterdam: 57 metres above the Maas at ZUIDYARD, with views over the city, the port and the skyline.

The tallest Ferris wheel in Rotterdam

The Beelen Eye stands at ZUIDYARD, on the Maashaven in the south of Rotterdam. From the enclosed panoramic cabins, 57 metres above the Maas, you look out 360 degrees over the city, the port and the water.

As the gondola rises, the city opens up: the Maas, the bridges, the port and the buildings that shape the skyline.

Views over Rotterdam

By day the view is clear and far-reaching; in the evening the city is full of light. Among the sights you can see from the wheel:

  • The Erasmus Bridge, Rotterdam’s best-known bridge.
  • The Euromast, 185 metres tall, on the other side of the Maas.
  • The city centre with its towers and the Markthal.
  • Directly below the wheel, the Maashaven with its port cranes, quays and the metro bridge.
