A new perspective.

Step aboard the Beelen Eye and watch Rotterdam slowly fall away beneath you. As the gondola rises, the city opens up: the Maas, the bridges, the port and the buildings that shape the skyline.

What can you see from the enclosed panoramic cabins? The Erasmus Bridge, Rotterdam’s best-known bridge. The Euromast, 185 metres tall, on the other side of the Maas. The city centre with its towers and the Markthal, and directly below the wheel the Maashaven with its port cranes, quays and the metro bridge.

Whether you come for the view, a special moment or simply a ride above the city: the Beelen Eye turns Rotterdam into a panorama you will remember.

Tickets

How can I buy tickets?
You can easily buy tickets for the Beelen Eye through our website.
Can I also buy a ticket on site?
Yes! Just walk into PIER40. This is also the entrance to the Beelen Eye, and you can buy a ticket there on the spot.
What are the opening hours?
The regular opening hours are: Tuesday 11:00–18:00, Wednesday 11:00–18:00, Thursday 11:00–18:00, Friday 11:00–18:00, Saturday 11:00–18:00, Sunday 13:00–18:00. Check the current notice at the top of the page for any changes.
Can I cancel or change my ticket?
Tickets are not refunded after purchase and cannot be cancelled. You can change the date of your ticket, though, so you can come on another day.
What happens if the Beelen Eye is closed because of the weather?
Safety always comes first. In strong wind, for example, we may have to close the Beelen Eye temporarily or for a longer period. You will see a closure straight away at the top of this website: a notice stays there for as long as the wheel is closed, so take a quick look before you set off. Do you have a ticket for a time when we have closed the Beelen Eye? Then we will find a suitable solution for your ticket. You can also change the date of your ticket yourself.

You will find the Beelen Eye at ZUIDYARD in Rotterdam. The address is Doklaan 40, 3081 AD Rotterdam.
What is ZUIDYARD?
ZUIDYARD (Rotterdam’s Waterfront Experience) is a special waterside destination in Rotterdam where activities, attractions and places to eat and drink come together. Come and play at Spelen bij Beelen, for example, go climbing at Gigi’s Klim World, visit Noah’s Ark, enjoy good food at PIER40 or discover Rotterdam from the water with ZUIDYARD Cruise. See zuidyard.com for more information.
Is the Beelen Eye included with Spelen bij Beelen?
No. You need a separate ticket for the Beelen Eye. The Beelen Eye and Spelen bij Beelen are on the same site, though: ZUIDYARD. So you can easily visit both on the same day.
How do I get to the Beelen Eye and ZUIDYARD?
You can visit us by bike, public transport and car. We are very easy to reach!
Can I park at the Beelen Eye and ZUIDYARD?
Certainly! There is plenty of parking on our own grounds. Parking costs €4 per hour or €22 for a day ticket. Just dropping someone off or picking them up? That is possible too. The first 15 minutes of parking are free.

Yes! The Beelen Eye is an experience for the whole family. Children can enjoy the view over Rotterdam and the port together with their parent(s) or carer(s).
Is the Beelen Eye accessible for people with disabilities?
Yes, the Beelen Eye is accessible for people with disabilities.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
No, bringing your own food and drinks is not permitted at the Beelen Eye or the other attractions on ZUIDYARD.
